Partners Victor Jacobson and Anthony Bacon formed ProActive Commercial Diving Services in 1999 to meet the needs of the growing mussel industry in the Pelorus Sound. The business has expanded to provide further diving services for other sectors within and outside the Marlborough Sounds.

'Silver Jo', our vessel, is powered by a Suzuki 4 stroke 140 hp outboard motor and is 5.9 metres long. She copes extremely well with the wide variety of sea conditions we encounter.

Victor is a Commercial Launch Master and holds the NZ Construction Diving Part 1 qualification. Anthony Bacon holds an Off Shore Master Ticket and a NZ Construction Diving Part 4 qualification. He has recently returned from overseas and is ready to put his new experience back into the business.
